Fractional Head of Content / Kansas City

Fractional head of content in Kansas City

A fractional head of content is a senior content lead who works with your team part-time, on a monthly retainer, instead of a full-time hire. I’m Parker Anderson. I run content strategy, systems and shoots for hospitality and experience-driven brands, scoped to your team.

What a fractional head of content does

I own your content strategy and systems: the calendar, shot lists, asset library and templates, plus running shoots and directing your team. You get a content lead, not just production days.

What’s included from $5,000 per month

Month one is setup:

  • A content audit: what you publish today, who it is for and what it should do.

  • A 90-day content plan around one clear goal.

  • The system: content calendar, shot list templates and an asset library with clear naming.

  • A get-found setup: your Google Business Profile, local listings, review requests and website basics.

Every month:

  • A monthly content calendar, planned ahead.

  • A weekly planning call, plus an email or Slack channel.

  • Direction and feedback on what your team makes: briefs, shot lists, notes on cuts.

  • One shoot day, planned and run by me.

  • 10 to 12 edited videos, depending on type, delivered for your channels.

  • A one-page report on what went out, what worked and what changes.

Not included: posting and scheduling (your team publishes, I give them the plan and the finished videos), ad spend (paid by you), and high-volume editing or film and campaign work, which are quoted separately.

Fractional head of content or full-time hire?

Hire full-time when one person has enough content work every day and you can manage them. Go fractional when you need strategy, systems and shoots but not 40 hours a week. I have been the in-house content person, so I will tell you straight which fits.

Who I work with

Hospitality and experience-driven brands: restaurants, food halls, bars, distilleries and venues, plus other businesses that need a content lead without a full-time hire. I’m based in Kansas City and can discuss travel or multi-location projects as part of the scope.

For openings, yes. The Opening Playbook includes launching and running your ads. Ad spend is always paid by you, directly to the ad platform. Beyond launches, my focus is creative strategy, film, photography and production, and I work with your marketing team or media-buying partner on the assets they need.
